Bucket loads of rain, unseasonable snow fall and strong winds were anything but good news for the organisers of the Kaikoura Coastal Cruisers inaugural 'Lobster Run.' The weather gods appeared determined  to ruin the day with no sign of any let up until the early hours of Saturday morning. And the good news was, by a little after daybreak, the snow had disappeared from the roads, the rain had stopped and a brisk southerly was doing a pretty fair job of drying everything out. By mid morning, a friendly sun had poked its head through the low cloud and the wind had dropped back to a more reasonable level. In fact, it was a damn good weekend away with a great bunch of people who partake in a very well organised and enthusiastic club. Many thanks to the Kaikoura Coastal Cruisers - we are looking forward to next years Lobster Run!!
